About the RoleThe company imports popular Japanese food products and distributes them to grocery retailers across the U.S. After successfully building a strong foundation in its first year, the company is now entering an exciting growth phase.
We are seeking a Japanese (business level) and English bilingual Route Sales Representative to manage client relationships in the New Jersey and New York area.
This is a hands‑on, client‑facing role that combines relationship management, product delivery, and merchandising. You will manage your own route and build relationships with clients while working closely with a supportive team. We are looking for someone who is organized, proactive, and enjoys working both independently and collaboratively.
Key Responsibilities- Visit assigned retail stores regularly (mainly NYC area)
- Manage shelves (stocking, organizing, merchandising displays)
- Deliver products and coordinate restocking
- Communicate with store managers and staff (primarily in English)
- Introduce new products and conduct basic product presentations
- Take orders and coordinate with internal teams
- Perform basic data entry and prepare sales‑related materials
- Fluent Japanese/English required
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
- Valid driver’s license (driving required)
- Ability to handle physical tasks (lifting, stocking, etc.)
- Food industry experience is a plus!
- Monday–Friday (Full-time, Exempt)
- Office & Warehouse:
Secaucus, NJ - Client Visits: NYC area (mainly Manhattan, Brooklyn)
- On‑site position
- Company vehicle provided
- Travel between NJ warehouse and client locations as needed
