Sales Executive (Bilingual – English and Japanese)
SummaryThe Sales Account Executive serves as a liaison between the sales team and clients, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction while facilitating the sales process from prospecting through post‑sale support. This role requires strong communication, negotiation, and relationship‑management skills to drive revenue growth and maintain long‑term client partnerships.
Business Development & Prospecting- Conduct market research to identify selling opportunities and evaluate customer needs
- Actively seek new sales opportunities through cold calling, networking, and social media
- Set up meetings with prospective clients and understand their needs and concerns
- Participate in exhibitions, conferences, and industry events
- Obtain orders and establish new accounts, including supporting account opening documentation
- Prepare and deliver presentations on products and services
- Submit orders using approved price lists and product information
- Conduct product and price comparisons to support purchasing decisions
- Adjust sales presentations based on the customer type or market segment
- Negotiate and close deals while addressing objections professionally
- Maintain strong, long‑term relationships with customers
- Manage existing accounts, including accounts receivable (A/R) and merchandise returns
- Troubleshoot and resolve customer concerns or issues
- Gather customer feedback and share insights with internal teams
- Inform customers of promotions, discounts, and new products/services
- Provide excellent customer service by responding promptly to inquiries and requests
- Coordinate with customers during peak periods to ensure service continuity
- Ensure product availability for sales and demonstrations
- Maintain comprehensive knowledge of products, services, and market trends
- Support A/R management and contribute to gross profit growth
- Prepare regular reports including sales activity, call reports, work plans, and territory analysis
- Create reviews and reports with sales and financial data
- Track and manage business expenses (mileage, tolls, parking, etc.)
- Collaborate with team members to achieve departmental goals
- Keep management informed of performance and sales activity
- Perform other related duties as assigned

$50,000 - $60,000 per year + quarterly incentives
Qualifications- Proven experience as a Sales Executive or relevant role
- Proficiency in English
- Excellent knowledge of MS Office
- Remarkable sales experience in food and beverage industry and passionate for healthy organic, fair trade, and sustainable foods
- Ability to regularly call on existing and potential customers and manage pricing and monitor credit term compliance
- Can speak, read, and write Japanese/English
- Hands‑on experience with CRM software is a plus
- Thorough understanding of marketing and negotiating techniques
- Fast learner and passion for sales
- Self‑motivated with a results‑driven approach
- Aptitude in delivering attractive presentations
- High school degree
- Experience in dealings involving market/culture
