Special Events Account Executive

NY Metro 032 - Secaucus, NJ 07094. Salary Range: $50,000.00 - $50,000.00 per year.

We’re looking for a talented, friendly, and dynamic Special Events Account Executive for our New York Metro market. Candidate must pass a Criminal Background Check.

• Collaborate with the inside sales team (Event Sales Consultant) to meet monthly sales goals.
• Provide excellent customer service in person, over the phone, and via email to ensure customer satisfaction and repeat business.
• Identify and research potential sales leads to visit, including leads generated by the inside sales team.
• Conduct 40 pre‑planned in‑person meetings with existing and potential clients each month (10 per week). Record these in the CRM with notes and follow‑up tasks.
• Create a 12‑month business plan, including core objectives and quarterly initiatives, to meet minimum in‑person meeting and networking event goals and maximize market share.
• Enter information about potential leads and existing clients into the CRM.
• Create presentations for clients’ individual event needs and for in‑person meetings.
• Help clients design their event using furniture, and suggest alternative options based on theme, budget, availability, and style.
• Communicate rental policies to clients and manage expectations with clear and consistent communication.
• Attend all Sales/Ops weekly meetings.
• Attend 3-5 networking events per month.
• Participate in monthly calls with the regional sales team, discuss change, growth, and improvement, and participate in training to better succeed in the role.
• Assist in communicating with clients regarding aging and billing.

• Stellar networking skills.
• Experience in sales calls and in‑person presentations.
• Experience in new account business development.
• Familiar with the social and corporate event markets in the area.
• Knowledge of the Destination Management Company (DMC) business.
• Computer savvy and familiar with MS Office suite.
• Familiarity with Salesforce, a plus.
• Proven successful track record and outside sales success of at least 2 years.
• Excellent oral and written communication and presentation skills.
• Customer service experience and ability to build relationships.
• Excellent project and time‑management skills.
• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, sales, or marketing.
• Must love people and be able to build relationships.
• Demonstrated outside sales skills.
