Position Summary

The NBA Global Security Operations Center (GSOC), within the NBA Security Department’s Global Intelligence vertical, is located in Secaucus, NJ. It operates as a 24x7 incident response center, coordinating crisis response for NBA assets worldwide.

As an operator in GSOC, you will monitor, evaluate, and disseminate global crisis information. You will collaborate professionally to disseminate detailed, timely, and accurate intelligence, enabling rapid response to incidents involving NBA executives, staff, operations, reputation, and facilities.

• Monitor and identify incidents that may impact league business operations.
• Provide accurate, concise communications during time-sensitive situations.
• Analyze developing crises and supply intelligence using escalation protocols to support crisis management teams.
• Support the corporate crisis management team during incidents.
• Communicate operational risks and global threats to stakeholders to minimize business impact.
• Navigate NBA Intelligence tools and platforms for incident collection, management, and notification.
• Support the corporate High Threat Travel Security program.

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution with a relevant concentration, or equivalent education and experience.
• Two or more years of experience, including at least one year of full-time professional experience in a command center or intelligence fusion center environment. Prior experience may include federal government, emergency management, fire or police services, public safety, public health, public administration, urban planning, engineering, military service, or related specialized area.

• Self‑motivated, comfortable working independently or in partnership under compressed timelines.
• Knowledge of social media platforms for open‑source research against threats.
• Highly responsive and proactive, owning tasks from start to finish.
• Attention to detail, strong organizational and multitasking skills.
• Ability to work a flexible shift schedule, including weekends, holidays, and extended periods during crises, remaining on duty until properly relieved.
• Proficiency with standard office applications (Outlook, Internet Explorer, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Ability to maintain a high degree of confidentiality and sensitivity.

$60,000 – $70,000
