Diesel Engine Specialist - Motorcoach Bus Experience
Position Summary:
We are a leading provider of motorcoach transportation services, committed to safety, reliability, and exceptional customer service. Our fleet of modern motorcoaches requires skilled professionals to keep them running smoothly and efficiently.
We are seeking an experienced Diesel Engine Specialist with a strong background in motorcoach bus maintenance. The ideal candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining diesel engines and related systems to ensure optimal performance and safety of our fleet.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform routine and preventive maintenance on diesel engines and motorcoach systems.
- Diagnose and repair engine issues experienced with Cummins, Detroit and Volvo, including fuel systems, emissions, cooling systems, and electrical components.
- Replace full engines. turbos, injectors, inframe rebuilds and head replacement.
- Conduct inspections and ensure compliance with DOT and company safety standards.
- Maintain accurate records of repairs, parts used, and service reports.
- Collaborate with other technicians and fleet managers to ensure timely and efficient service.
- Stay current with industry trends, tools, and technologies.
- Minimum 3 years of experience working with diesel engines, preferably in motorcoach or heavy-duty bus environments.
- Technical certification or vocational training in diesel mechanics (ASE certification preferred).
- Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills.
- Familiarity with electronic engine control systems and diagnostic software.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Valid driver's license (CDL preferred but not required).
