Hvac Maintenence Mechanic

Duties

• Performs corrective and preventive maintenance on all electrical/HVAC systems such as high voltage switch gear, three phase motor control centers, emergency generators, transformers, distribution system, etc.
• Reads and prepares blueprints, circuit diagrams related to electrical HVAC and refrigeration systems, estimates orders, and installs new electrical equipment and systems according to code.
• Achieves working knowledge of pneumatic/electric control systems and plumbing associated with HVAC and refrigeration.
• Familiar with HVAC, refrigeration, ice machine, and related equipment.
• Performs preventive maintenance on chillers, air handling units, reheat coils, thermostats, air conditioning units, exhaust fan ducts, fan coil units, water coolers, pumps, plumbing, and electrical work associated with HVAC.
• Inspects and measures buildings to determine air flow requirements.
• Performs installation or modifications of ducting, registers, and other sheet metal work.
• Has basic knowledge of painting and carpentry.
• All rates are based on the union contract.
