Senior Supermarket Rack Refrigeration HVAC Technician

Walmart is building its workforce across local retail stores and is actively recruiting a Senior Supermarket Rack Refrigeration HVAC Technician. This role supports and oversees repair within the Walmart facilities Refrigeration HVAC equipment team using commercial HVAC and refrigeration skills and tools.

• Maintain and repair Walmart facility's Refrigeration HVAC equipment and assets using commercial HVAC and refrigeration skills and hand, digital, power tools, and testing equipment.
• Utilize the work order management system to receive repair Work Orders for stores and store associates and document repair activities.
• Provide prompt response to emergency maintenance calls.
• Inspect, operate, and test facilities, equipment, or fixtures to diagnose issues.
• Complete all required training to operate equipment and tools safely.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA and EPA regulations by performing work according to Walmart HVAC safety policy and environmental guidelines.
• Lift up to 75 pounds, move up and down ladders, and work comfortably at heights frequently.

• 10 years’ experience in commercial refrigeration HVAC maintenance.
• Large-scale rack refrigeration experience.
• Type I/Type II or Universal EPA certification for refrigerant handling.
• Valid state-issued driver’s license with a clean driving record and ability to pass an MVR report.
• 18 years or older with a high school diploma or equivalent.

• Commercial driving record with no convictions for DUI, DWI, OUI within the last five years and no more than two moving violations in the last three years.
• Completion of a 2-year technical/vocational HVAC/R program or associate’s degree in A/C and refrigeration.
• Experience using word processing, spreadsheet, email, and presentation software.
• No preventable accidents while operating a commercial motor vehicle in the last three years.
• Prior experience reading blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams.
• Prior experience with hand tools, power tools, and testing equipment.
• Prior experience with glycol and CO2 systems.
