About The Role:
The Director of Systems Architecture will build and lead a team expected to deliver complete compute systems that drive new innovative technologies into rack‑mounted server designs, resulting in customized hyperscale data‑center solutions.
The leader will directly manage a systems architecture team and work across a multi‑functional group of architects to ensure on‑time delivery of new products by setting aggressive yet realistic development schedules, closely monitoring progress, balancing resources, and driving engineering teams. The executive must be an experienced engineering leader with direct experience shipping innovative products while fostering an environment of execution, rapid time to market, and technical excellence.
Responsibilitiesand Essential Functions
- Drive and execute complete programs to successfully deliver reference systems, customized solutions, and critical new technology leadership through the selection, building, and development of strong, innovation‑driven teams.
- Drive change that results in new value and market leadership.
- Drive cross‑functional collaboration across multiple disciplines and departments.
- Seasoned engineer and manager with experience developing and shipping a portfolio of innovative products.
- Technical expert, knowledgeable across all facets of hardware engineering, and experienced across functions in an engineering organization.
- Hands‑on leader capable of harnessing creativity and passion, building rapport with and guiding a team of high‑performing engineers.
- Demonstrated ability to implement, manage, and execute scalable processes that result in high performance against schedules and deliverables.
A successful leader will thrive in a fast‑paced atmosphere, collaborate with technical and business professionals inside and outside the company, and possess strong communication, strategic acumen, leadership in building innovation‑driven teams, and a comprehensive understanding of the system development lifecycle, integration, testing, validation, and manufacturing processes.
Experience and Education- BSEE or similar technical degree.
- 15+ years of system design and development experience or equivalent.
- Proven track record of leading global system development teams.
