Overview

We are currently seeking an experienced Warehouse Manager to oversee operations at our Secaucus, NJ warehouse. This hands‑on leadership role is responsible for managing the day‑to‑day warehouse operations, including receiving, shipping, inventory control, warehouse organization, equipment maintenance, and team leadership.

We are looking for a proactive, highly organized leader who can hit the ground running and confidently manage warehouse operations with minimal oversight. The ideal candidate takes ownership of warehouse operations, maintains strong operational controls, drives process improvements, ensures inventory accuracy, and leads by example while fostering a safe, efficient, and customer‑focused environment.

Key Responsibilities Warehouse Operations
  • Oversee all day‑to‑day warehouse operations, ensuring inbound and outbound orders are processed accurately and on schedule.
  • Review daily pull reports, establish warehouse priorities, assign workloads, and ensure trucks are loaded efficiently while incoming freight is received, inspected, and unloaded properly.
  • Maintain a strong understanding of furniture products, components, and parts to ensure accurate receiving, staging, storage, and order fulfillment.
  • Supervise the loading, unloading, staging, storage, and movement of furniture, materials, and customer‑owned assets.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment while ensuring compliance with company policies and OSHA regulations.
  • Ensure warehouse equipment is properly maintained, inspected, and serviced.
Inventory & Cross‑Functional Collaboration
  • Partner closely with the Asset Management team to ensure customer‑owned inventory is accurately received, stored, tracked, and fulfilled.
  • Support inventory accuracy by coordinating cycle counts, warehouse audits, and reconciliation efforts with the Asset Management team.
  • Utilize warehouse management and inventory systems, including asset tracking software, to support daily warehouse operations and inventory transactions.
  • Collaborate with Sales, Account Management, Project Management, Logistics, and other internal departments to ensure customer expectations, project timelines, and business objectives are met.
  • Identify operational challenges and implement process improvements to increase warehouse efficiency, organization, and inventory accuracy.
Leadership & Team Management
  • Lead, coach, develop, and hold warehouse employees accountable for performance, productivity, quality, and safety.
  • Plan daily staffing needs, assign work, and monitor workflow to ensure operational goals and deadlines are achieved.
  • Foster a culture of teamwork, accountability, continuous improvement, and exceptional customer service.
  • Provide ongoing coaching, training, and development opportunities for warehouse staff.
  • Make sound operational decisions while proactively resolving issues with minimal oversight.
Additional Responsibilities
  • Ensure compliance with all company policies, warehouse procedures, and safety standards.
  • Effectively manage warehouse employees and third‑party contractors operating within the facility.
  • Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned to support business operations.
Skills & Qualifications
  • 5+ years of warehouse operations experience, including at least 2 years in a warehouse leadership or management role.
  • Proven ability to independently manage day‑to‑day warehouse operations with minimal supervision.
  • Strong experience with receiving, shipping, inventory control, warehouse organization, and operational planning.
  • Experience partnering with inventory or asset management teams to maintain inventory accuracy and support warehouse operations.
