Job Summary
The Inventory Control Clerk is responsible for organizing and maintaining the stored inventory in a neat and orderly manner keeping the stock at a level that will assure adequate supplies are available at all times.
The Inventory Control Clerk reports directly to the Director of Materials Management.
QualificationsEducation:
High School graduate or equivalent certification.
Licensure/Certification:
Missouri Class “E” Chauffer’s Driver’s License.
Work Experience:
One or more years of experience in inventory management is preferred.
Job Duties
- Receives incoming freight and maintains all pertinent documentation of the receiving.
- Alerts Purchasing Assistants / Buyers to stock outs and materials for reorder.
- Rotates stock.
- Delivers supplies to Hospital Departments and enters charging for Nursing Departments.
- Fills requisitions for stock items.
- Assists with the Semi‑Annual Physical Inventory process.
- Responds to calls to deliver supplies in emergency situations.
- Works with Nursing and other departments to determine proper levels of supplies needed.
- Serves as backup hospital courier and mail room clerk as needed.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Demonstrates support for organizational and departmental mission.
- Supports and demonstrates knowledge of the Strategic Plan and the Hospital Key Initiatives.
- Fosters and promotes teamwork within department and the organization as a whole.
- Works to resolve conflicts constructively and in a timely manner.
