Job Summary

The Export Sales Compliance Manager is responsible for selling our products, as well as act as a point of reference to existing and potential export customers. The successful candidate would work with management to ensure that our company goals and sales quotas are consistently met and most importantly, ensure shipments follow the laws and regulations governing the export industry. Additionally, all export license applications and documentation would be the responsibility of this position.

Primary

Responsibilities
  • Manage all export accounts consistent with overall company growth strategies.
  • Develop and maintain close business relationships with all export accounts.
  • Coordinate sales by managing schedules, filing important documents and communicating relevant information.
  • Plan, process and coordinate all export orders and shipments.
  • File Export License application with the US Department of Defense Trade Controls.
  • Adhere to strict compliance with all Dept of Justice and Dept. of Commerce issues related to the selling and marketing of our products.
  • Active participation in all trade shows assigned including SHOT Show and IWA Trade Fair.
  • Respond to complaints from customers and give after‑sales support when requested.
  • Monitor sales progress, identify shortcomings and propose improvements.
  • Keep track of invoices and prepare reports to expedite the billing process.
  • Coordinates the preparation and completion of regulatory and compliance documents.
  • Ensures compliance documents satisfy federal, state, and local government requirements.
  • Assist in the implementation and monitoring of compliance controls, compliance procedures and operational processes.
  • Assist site manager in the event of an audit.
  • Resolve compliance problems by analyzing logs, identifying problems and communicating solutions.
  • Maintain open communication with customers, managers and employees related to compliance.
  • Maintain compliance administrative process by assisting with cost reductions, reporting and procedures.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

  • BS/BA Sales, Marketing, Business Administration or relevant field.
  • Experience with export laws and regulations.
  • Passionate, hard worker and well organized professional with power to prioritize and multitask.
  • Ability to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to pay great attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Great computer skills (MS Office)
  • Well‑organized and responsible with an aptitude in problem‑solving
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

TRAVEL

The position requires up to 20% of travel.

Work Environment

The work is primarily performed in a typical office environment. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. For the most part ambient room temperatures and lighting as found in a typical office environment.
