POSITION SUMMARY

The Outreach Event Liaison supports the mission of the Center for Human Services by accompanying the 34-foot Mobile Sensory and Accessibility Resource Center at community events and outreach locations. This part-time position works/travels 0-19 hours per week, primarily in the evenings and weekends, with some weekday events. The position serves as an on-site community representative, helping visitors understand the purpose, value, and impact of the Mobile Center while creating a welcoming, inclusive, and professional experience for individuals, families, and community partners.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Travels with the Mobile Center to scheduled community events, outreach activities, and designated service locations.
  • Assists with the safe setup and tear down of the Mobile Center, including arranging equipment, supplies, signage, sensory areas, and accessibility resources.
  • Helps maintain the Mobile Center in a clean, organized, and welcoming condition before, during, and after events.
  • Serves as a friendly and professional ambassador of the Center for Human Services' mission while interacting with community members, families, partners, and event organizers.
  • Provides basic information about available resources, services, and supports offered through the Mobile Center and the Center for Human Services.
  • Supports visitor flow and helps create a safe, respectful, inclusive, and accessible environment for all guests.
  • Monitors Mobile Center supplies and reports needs for replenishment, cleaning, repair, or maintenance to the Outreach Assistant.
  • Works collaboratively with outreach staff, drivers, event partners, and other team members to ensure each Mobile Center event runs smoothly.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned to support outreach events and Mobile Center operations.

QUALIFICATIONS
REQUIRED EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE
  • High School/HiSET degree.
  • Must provide valid driver’s license and proof of personal valid vehicle insurance
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
  • Must be able to lift 10 pounds at times and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
  • Travel as needed during the evenings, and weekends with some overnight stays.
