PositionSummary
Responsible for the timely execution of gas turbine engine Assembly / Disassembly at the depot level while working in a team environment. Provide input and assist in the creation and improvement of procedures involving depot repairs and inspection processes. Ensure quality gas turbine refurbishment and overhaul through precision and attention to detail. This is an entry‑level position. Candidates with the desired experience and/or skills will be trained for this career opportunity.
Reports To: Aero Depot Supervisor
Work Location: 2001 Proenergy Blvd, Sedalia, MO 65301
Shift: 3:30 p.m. – 12 a.m. with potential extension to 2 a.m. depending on workload.
Position Responsibilities- Performs disassembly and assembly of gas turbine components and modules.
- Inspects individual engine modules & components and assesses condition.
- Inspects and cleans engine parts and assesses condition.
- Demonstrates proficiency in the utilization of common, precise measuring and specialty tools.
- Follows detailed technical instructions and signs work off accordingly.
- Communicates effectively with coworkers, company leadership and customers.
- Maintains a clean and safe work environment.
- Complies with all company policies, procedures, and commercial commitments.
- Strong mechanical background in automotive, heavy truck, and/or heavy equipment mechanics.
- Minimum high school diploma or GED, or relevant work experience in lieu of education.
- US work authorization is a precondition of employment. The company will not consider candidates who require sponsorship for a work‑authorized visa.
- Successful candidate will need to satisfactorily complete pre‑employment drug screen and background check.
- Mechanical skills as demonstrated by past experience performing automotive repair, jet engine repair or other engine related tear‑down or maintenance experience.
- Additional formal or college‑level technical training in a related field of study.
- Demonstrated mechanical competency; experience with aero‑derivative gas turbines is highly preferred.
- Aviation Powerplant License.
- GE or equivalent familiarization and up to Level 4 training on LM2500 and LM6000 or CF6 flight turbines.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
- Understanding of aero gas turbine maintenance and operations.
- Demonstrated prioritization skills and ability to handle multiple priorities within demanding time constraints.
- A good command of English, both written and oral, required to read technical manuals and drawings.
- Ability to work in and as part of a highly skilled team of professionals.
