We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Design and Drafting Director with expertise in managing bills of material (BOM), CAD team members and work, as well as the associated documentation. The successful candidate will be a key member of the configuration control board, responsible for ensuring accuracy, consistency, and efficiency in all aspects of configuration and definition management. This role involves hands‑on experience with CREO, Solid Works, Windchill, PDM, and direct management of Engineering Change Requests and Notices (ECRNs).

• BOM Management:
  • Oversee creation, maintenance, and accuracy of BOMs for gas turbines and parts.
  • Ensure BOMs align with engineering specifications, manufacturing requirements, and quality standards.
  • Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to update BOMs based on design changes and revisions.
  • Contribute to development of automated BOM updates within current or developing systems.
• CAD Management for Gas Turbine Design and Manufacturing:
  • Lead and coordinate CAD activities related to gas turbines and rotating equipment.
  • Utilize CREO, Solid Works, Windchill PDM to create, modify, and manage models and drawings.
  • Ensure CAD designs adhere to industry standards, company guidelines, and regulatory requirements.
• Configuration Control Board (CCB) Membership:
  • Actively participate as a key member of the configuration control board.
  • Provide expertise in configuration and CAD matters during board meetings.
  • Collaborate with other board members to drive continuous improvement in configuration management processes.
• Supporting NCRs/ECRNs:
  • Critical role in creating, reviewing, managing, and executing NCRs/ECRNs.
  • Work closely with engineering teams to assess impact of proposed changes on BOMs and designs.
  • Coordinate with manufacturing and supply chain management to ensure cut‑in is acceptable.
  • Implement approved changes and update documentation accordingly.
• Collaboration and Communication:
  • Foster effective communication and collaboration with engineering, manufacturing, quality, and other relevant departments.
