Our client is a leading provider of fast-start power generation solutions, delivering engineering, manufacturing, lifecycle services, and turnkey power projects to customers worldwide. Due to continued growth, they are looking to appoint a Gas Turbine Rotor Design Engineer to support the design, analysis, and development of critical rotating components for aeroderivative gas turbine applications.

Responsibilities
  • Lead the mechanical design and development of gas turbine rotating components including rotors, shafts, disks, blisks, spools, and assemblies.
  • Perform structural, thermal, vibration, and stress analysis to validate designs and identify areas of risk.
  • Conduct design reviews and provide technical recommendations to support manufacturing and product release.
  • Develop engineering drawings, specifications, and documentation in accordance with industry standards.
  • Partner with Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Materials, and Quality teams to ensure successful production and implementation.
  • Support root cause investigations, failure analysis, and product improvements.
  • Provide technical guidance to field service teams and act as a subject matter expert for rotating equipment.
  • Manage third-party engineering partners and design consultants where required.
  • Ensure compliance with engineering codes, standards, and best practices.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or related discipline.
  • 7+ years of turbo machinery or rotating equipment experience.
  • Strong knowledge of rotor dynamics, vibration analysis, fatigue, stress, and thermal performance.
  • Experience using CAD software such as Creo or Solid Works.
  • Proficiency with FEA tools including ANSYS.
  • Understanding of manufacturing methods, GD&T, and engineering drawing standards.
  • Experience with high-temperature materials and coatings used in gas turbine applications.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Preferred Experience
  • Technical leadership or project leadership experience.
  • Knowledge of compressor and turbine design principles.
  • Experience supporting repair engineering, lifecycle services, or aftermarket programs.
  • Master's degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering.
