Position Summary
As a CNC Maintenance Technician, you will use electrical, electronic, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic diagnostic equipment to perform precision machine installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair. You will provide updates via CMMS and inventory‑tracking systems, complete preventive and planned maintenance tasks using equipment O&M manuals, schematics, and drawings, and use sophisticated measuring instruments for precision machine alignments. You will also utilize analysis tools (oil sampling, vibration analysis, and thermal imaging) to predict equipment failures and generate work requests for predictive maintenance.

Position Responsibilities- Repair CNC machinery, manual machines, robotics, and machining centers.
- Install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain machine tool equipment and controls.
- Troubleshoot hydraulics, electrical and electronics, and software, pneumatic, and mechanical systems.
- Use machine tool manuals, technical documents, and internal and vendor resources to research machine issues.
- Read and interpret mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, and electronics drawings.
- Perform number system conversions (binary, hexadecimal, octal, etc.).
- Use precision measuring tools for checking, verifying, and correcting machine alignments.
- Perform machine alignments (conventional, laser, and electronic).
- Identify and repair common pumps.
- Perform troubleshooting and repair of variable‑speed DC and AC drive systems.
- Provide daily reports and status updates.
- Utilize the CMMS system for generating and tracking daily activities.
- Complete planned and preventative procedures.
- Use safe rigging practices.
- Work with a sense of urgency when machines are down.
- 5+ years of CNC maintenance technician experience.
- Knowledge of CNC machine design and operation.
- Ability to read part manuals, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical schematics, assembly instructions, and troubleshooting guides.
- High degree of industrial mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical aptitude and repair abilities.
- Knowledge and experience with electrical test equipment and systems.
- Ability to safely operate powered industrial vehicles such as forklifts and side‑by‑side.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Motivation and willingness to maintain current and develop new skills.
- Work safely and effectively in a team environment, with minimal supervision.
- Basic office computer skills (Outlook, Word, Excel).
- Fluent English (reading, writing, speaking).
- US work authorization required; no sponsorship.
- Successful completion of pre‑employment drug screen and background check.
- 5+ years of industrial mechanical experience.
- Knowledge of welding, machining, milling, cutting, etc.
- Experience in other mechanical maintenance trades (industrial maintenance, hydraulic, mechanical technician).
- Physical: walk campus site, climb ladders and stairs, walk on uneven ground, lift minimum 50 lbs., exposed to sun and varied weather.
- Mental: well organized, multi‑tasking, analyze/interpret, make rational decisions, verbal, written, and math skills essential.
