Position OverviewWe are seeking a Fabrication Supervisor to lead a 3rd shift team within a turbine manufacturing and repair environment. This role is responsible for overseeing welding and fabrication operations, ensuring safety, quality, and production targets are consistently met.
This is a hands‑on leadership role ideal for someone with experience in turbine, power generation, or heavy industrial manufacturing environments.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and supervise 3rd shift fabrication and welding operations
- Ensure safety, quality, and productivity standards are consistently met
- Manage employee performance including coaching, evaluations, and discipline
- Monitor production schedules and communicate progress to leadership
- Oversee quality inspections and ensure compliance with welding standards
- Track and report on labor hours, production goals, and operational metrics
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives including 5S and process enhancements
- Ensure accurate reporting for safety incidents, quality issues, and timekeeping
- 5+ years of hands‑on welding/fabrication experience (GMAW, SMAW, FCAW, cutting processes)
- Prior leadership or supervisory experience in a manufacturing or fabrication environment
- Experience in turbine, power generation, or heavy industrial manufacturing REQUIRED
- Strong knowledge of AWS and/or ASME welding standards
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and welding symbols
- Experience with shop equipment, measuring tools, and fabrication processes
- Forklift and overhead crane experience preferred
- Must be able to work 3rd shift (overnight)
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S. (no sponsorship available)
- Ability to pass background check and drug screening
