$42.75 to $55.00 per hour

As the Repair Supervisor for Aeroderivative Components, you will manage the day-to-day functions of our component repair facility. You will be responsible for guiding a team of technicians, ensuring that all maintenance tasks are executed with precision, safety, and strict adherence to internal and OEM quality benchmarks. This role is essential for upholding our commitment to rapid turnaround times and superior quality, directly supporting our global aeroderivative turbine MRO activities.

Core Responsibilities
  • Oversee and organize the routine overhaul and repair tasks for various aeroderivative turbine parts, such as the LM2500 and LM6000 models.
  • Manage task assignments and workflow priorities to help the team consistently hit production schedules and turnaround goals.
  • Verify that all repair documentation and technical procedures align with our internal quality and safety protocols.
  • Collaborate with production planning to ensure that labor, tooling, and necessary components are ready to meet current workload requirements.
Technical Oversight
  • Evaluate repair plans, work scopes, and engineering documentation to ensure they are accurate and compliant.
  • Assist in the identification and resolution of technical challenges that arise during the repair cycle.
  • Perform final and in-process quality checks to guarantee the integrity and completeness of all repairs.
  • Work alongside Engineering and Quality departments to address nonconformances and execute necessary corrective actions.
Team Management & Development
  • Mentor and train technicians to ensure they maintain high technical proficiency and follow industry best practices.
  • Cultivate a workplace environment that prioritizes accountability, safety, and ongoing professional growth.
  • Evaluate individual performance and determine where cross-training or skill development can be utilized.
  • Lead initiatives aimed at improving process reliability, reducing costs, and increasing shop efficiency.
  • Engage in Lean methodologies to streamline workflows and eliminate operational waste.
  • Propose enhancements to tooling or processes to boost repair capabilities and accelerate turnaround times.
Safety & Compliance
  • Maintain a safe working environment for the entire team by strictly enforcing all EHS policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Champion a safety-first mindset to help the facility achieve a zero-incident record.
Reporting & Communication
  • Deliver regular production metrics, status updates, and progress reports to leadership.
  • Maintain clear communication channels with Supply Chain, Planning, Engineering, and Quality teams.
  • Act as the primary representative for the repair department during internal reviews, customer visits, and audits.
Required Qualifications
  • Associate’s degree in aerospace or an FAA Repairman certificate is preferred, though equivalent technical experience is acceptable.
  • Minimum of 5 years of practical experience working with aeroderivative turbine component repairs, with a preference for LM series expertise.
  • At least 2 years of experience leading teams or supervising staff within a manufacturing or MRO setting.
  • Possess strong organizational and leadership abilities, with deep knowledge of repair techniques like welding, blending, coating, machining, blasting, and heat treating, as well as familiarity with OEM manuals and documentation.
  • Proficiency in utilizing ERP or MRP software systems.
  • Demonstrate a dedication to operational excellence, quality, and safety; US work authorization is required.
