Production Manager
Management Level M1
This position is responsible for supervising Production Team Members while ensuring compliance with quality, safety, food safety, and sanitation standards. The supervisor works closely with the management team to achieve departmental objectives, maintain daily operational accountability, and support continuous improvement initiatives. This role requires strong teamwork, leadership, and communication skills, along with a commitment to enforcing company policies and procedures. Additional responsibilities may be assigned as needed by management.
RequirementsEducation
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Experience
- General knowledge of production operations and manufacturing processes.
- Understanding of food safety practices, product yields, and USDA regulations.
Computer Skills
- Basic computer proficiency required.
Communication Skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Bilingual abilities are a plus.
Travel
- Minimal travel required.
Leadership Responsibilities
- Supervise and support a team of employees performing various production tasks and activities.
- Provide coaching, guidance, and performance feedback to team members.
Special Skills
- Demonstrated leadership and team-building abilities.
- Strong problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage special projects and departmental initiatives.
Additional Qualifications
- Excellent attendance and safety record.
- Ability to complete required Tyson documentation and paperwork accurately.
- Technical skills are preferred and will receive additional consideration.
- Ability to lead by example, motivate team members, and foster a positive, productive work environment.
- Commitment to maintaining compliance with human resources policies, safety standards, and company procedures.
