Convertible Solutions is hiring a Flexo Press Operator & Maintenance Technician for our Sedalia, MO location!

We’re looking for a mechanically skilled, hands-on team member who can take ownership of our flexographic press operations while also supporting the maintenance and reliability of our production equipment.

This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys troubleshooting, working with complex equipment, and being involved in both production and maintenance.

Schedule:

Full-time Schedule may vary based on production and maintenance needs.

What You’ll DoAs a Flexo Press Operator / Maintenance Technician, you’ll operate and maintain our Gallus flexographic press, help ensure jobs are completed safely and to quality standards, and provide maintenance support for equipment throughout the facility. You’ll also provide day-to-day direction and training to the Flexo Press Assistant.

Responsibilities Set up, operate, and monitor the Gallus flexographic press to produce quality, on-time jobs.

Work with dies, cylinders, rollers, inks, glues, and other press components during setup, production, and cleanup.

Monitor product quality and make adjustments or troubleshoot issues as needed.

Direct and train the Flexo Press Assistant on proper setup, operation, cleanup, and production processes.

Troubleshoot and repair production equipment using mechanical and electrical knowledge.

Perform preventative maintenance and help identify recurring equipment issues before they lead to downtime.

Assist with maintenance of forklifts, material-handling equipment, and general facility needs.

Use mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic knowledge to diagnose equipment problems.

Maintain press materials, maintenance parts, tools, and equipment in an organized and safe manner.

Follow safety procedures, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), PPE requirements, and established safe work practices.

Keep accurate maintenance and repair records and communicate equipment, production, and quality concerns to the appropriate team members.

What We’re Looking For Working knowledge of production and/or industrial equipment.

Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.

Ability to troubleshoot both mechanical and electrical equipment issues.

Willingness and ability to learn flexographic printing equipment and processes.

Basic welding and fabrication skills.

Ability to work independently, solve problems, and determine appropriate corrective action.

Ability to communicate effectively and provide hands-on training and direction to others.

Comfortable working around machinery, moving equipment, noise, chemicals, and other conditions common in a manufacturing environment.

Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and safely lift, carry, push, and pull materials, tooling, and equipment.

High school diploma or GED preferred.

Experience with preventative maintenance, hydraulics, pneumatics, electrical systems, or machine-shop equipment is a plus.
