The Admission Coordinator RN for the Admission Unit is a critical role responsible for overseeing the clinical and administrative aspects of patient admissions. This position combines nursing expertise with administrative skills to ensure a seamless and efficient admission process. The Admission Coordinator RN evaluates patient care needs, coordinates with the healthcare team to facilitate appropriate placements, and provides patient education and support throughout the admission process.
This role requires a strong clinical background, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. The Admission Coordinator RN for the Admission Unit reports directly to the Admission Unit Manager/Director.
Pay Range: $29.75 - $46.49 per hour

Minimum Qualifications:
1.
Education:
a.) Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) is required, master's degree in nursing, Healthcare Administration, or a related field is preferred.
2. Licensure/Certification: a.) Current, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in Missouri. b.) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required. c.) Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification is required.
3.
Work Experience:
a.) Minimum of 3-5 years of clinical nursing experience, with a preference for experience in emergency or critical care settings. b.) Prior experience in a hospital admission or patient placement role is highly desirable.
4.
Skills:
a.) Strong clinical assessment and triage skills, with the ability to make quick, informed decisions in a high-pressure environment. b.) Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on patient-centered care. c.) Proficiency in using electronic health records (EHR) and other healthcare information systems. d.) Strong organizational and multitasking abilities, with a keen attention to detail.
