Maintenance Technician – The Stone Creek Apartments, Sedalia, MO
B Residential, a market leader in Class A multi‑family management, is seeking a passionate Maintenance Technician.
Pay:
Up to $22.00 per hour. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, disability, life insurance, paid time off, and 401(k).

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for responding to maintenance requests as instructed by the Maintenance Supervisor. This position ensures that the physical aspects of the property meet the company’s established standards and any applicable laws. Qualifications include working knowledge in plumbing, electrical and small appliance repair; HVAC/EPA certification preferred.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Assist in meeting 2B’s goals relative to resident satisfaction and retention.
- Install control and distribution apparatus (switches, relays, circuit breaker panels) using hand and power tools.
- Observe functioning of installed equipment to detect hazards and need for adjustments, relocation, or replacement.
- Repair or assist in repair of faulty equipment or systems.
- Conduct scheduled inspections of buildings and equipment rooms; read and record temperatures and pressures; report and repair equipment malfunctions such as noisy bearings, broken belts, excessive vibrations, and refrigerant leaks; adjust and calibrate equipment settings; monitor and replace filters; oil and grease motors as needed.
- Assist in the operations of all HVAC equipment.
- Assist in the management of building access systems.
- Maintain a safe and accessible building for residents and visitors.
- Complete maintenance requests as indicated by property staff, adhering to emergency and privacy guidelines.
- Notify management of the need for major repairs or additions.
- High school diploma or GED with one year of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Must have a valid driver’s license/automobile insurance and reliable transportation.
