Overview:Participate in the Designsanddevelopsofall aspects of electrical control systems,equipment and machinery.
Provide support for the installation and technical support of PLC based hardware.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Develop andmaintaina high levelof knowledge of wire andcable equipment and processes.
- Support the maintenance department in electrical/electronic systems troubleshooting.
- Provide technicalsupportand direction to the maintenance department formaintainingelectrical and electronic equipment in a manner whichoptimizesoperational performance and safety.
- Managesmallassignedprojects which include cost estimations, designs, specifications, approvals, procurement, installation, startup, cost control,safetyand overall implementation to achieve Plant and organizational objectives.
- Supportoutsourcedrepairs of critical electronic components.
- Adhere to all Corporate and Plant practices and policies in all aspects of work and ensure compliance with Federal,Stateand local electrical codes, and regulations.
- Partner with Electrical Engr. and Controls the Development, writing, and de-buggingcontrol logic for machine control, make design modifications and improvements to complex electrical, electronic, and mechanical equipment.
- Analyze and interpret electrical schematics to thecomponentlevel asrequiredto make repairs and return equipment to operation.
- Utilize programming devices to analyze P.L.C. programs for failures or improvements.
Maintain detailed records of critical process variables and ensure that programs are logical and as comprehensible as possible. - Supporttheelectriciansin troubleshooting, repair and program AC/DC drive systems including off-shifts and weekends.
- Troubleshoot issuesutilizingcurrent technology including electrical test equipment and computer diagnosis equipment.
- Maintain existing documentation andensure information isaccessibleto other team members.
- Participate with Operations to solve manufacturing problems,initiateproductivity improvements, andidentifyfuture opportunities for the overall continual improvement of the Sedalia operation.
- Liaison with Engineering and Maintenance Team.
- Perform other related duties as per direction of the Manage rand the Coordinator.
- Advanced computer skills required including PLC programming and CAD. (Experience with Wonderwarea plus).
- Understanding types of communication, DH+, Serial (Rs232, RS485) Control Net,Device Net,Ether Net.
- Ability to understand routing, gateways andVLan’s.
- Electrical/Electronics Technician.
- Minimum2years of experience inPLC, Drives, Programing in Industrial.
- Maintenance(wire & cable experience highly desirable).
Will work in both factory and office conditions.
