Role Overview

The CNC Maintenance Technician plays a vital role in ensuring the reliability and peak performance of CNC machinery, robotics, and various manufacturing systems. By leveraging advanced diagnostic tools for electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic systems, the technician works to maximize equipment uptime and operational efficiency.

In this capacity, you will execute both preventative and predictive maintenance schedules, manage documentation within the CMMS, and provide rapid responses to equipment malfunctions to keep production lines moving.

Reports To: Maintenance Leadership

Location: Sedalia, Missouri

Core Responsibilities
  • Diagnose, fix, and service CNC units, robotics, and manual machining centers.
  • Oversee the installation and upkeep of machine tools and control systems.
  • Resolve complex issues involving electronic, electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
  • Analyze technical documentation and schematics for hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems.
  • Utilize vendor resources and OEM manuals to investigate and resolve equipment challenges.
  • Execute machine alignments through laser, conventional, and electronic techniques.
  • Ensure machine precision by verifying alignments with specialized measuring tools.
  • Maintain and troubleshoot DC and AC variable-speed drive systems.
  • Service various pump configurations and their associated systems.
  • Execute scheduled and preventative maintenance tasks to improve overall equipment longevity.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance logs and project tracking within the CMMS.
  • Deliver regular status updates and maintenance reports to the team.
  • Apply predictive maintenance technologies like thermal imaging, oil analysis, and vibration monitoring to prevent failures.
  • Maintain a secure working environment by adhering to established safety and rigging protocols.
  • Provide immediate support during machine downtime to help the team meet production goals.
Required Qualifications
  • At least 5 years of hands‑on experience in CNC maintenance.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of CNC design and operational principles.
  • Proficiency in interpreting troubleshooting guides, manuals, and technical schematics.
  • Proven background in repairing and diagnosing industrial electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and mechanical systems.
