Commercial HVAC Technician

Commercial HVAC Service Technician | $34-$42/hr + Spiffs | 100% Paid Benefits

Apex Mechanical is hiring experienced HVAC Service Technicians who are confident in the field, strong at troubleshooting, and capable of handling service calls with minimal supervision.

This position is built for a technician with 3-5 years of hands-on service experience who can evaluate equipment, identify the root cause of a problem, and determine the best route of action. You'll work across commercial and industrial systems, with some residential service as well.

• Diagnose HVAC system issues and complete necessary repairs
• Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, and system performance problems
• Service commercial, industrial, and occasional residential equipment
• Conduct preventative maintenance and routine service
• Use wiring diagrams, schematics, and blueprints to diagnose equipment
• Assess equipment condition and determine appropriate repair or replacement recommendations
• Walk customers through your findings and explain recommended solutions
• Complete service work accurately and efficiently
• Maintain a professional presence while representing Apex in the field

• $34.00-$42.00/hr + spiffs

• 3-5 years of hands‑on HVAC service experience required
• Proven ability to independently diagnose and troubleshoot HVAC systems
• Commercial or industrial HVAC service experience strongly preferred
• EPA Universal Certification
• Comfortable interpreting wiring diagrams, schematics, and blueprints
• Valid driver's license with a clean, insurable driving record
• Able to safely work from 24' extension ladders and 8' step ladders
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Comfortable presenting repair and replacement recommendations to customers
• NATE certification preferred, or willingness to earn it
• Dependable, self‑directed, and committed to high‑quality workmanship
