Warehouse / Purchasing Assistant

Pay: $20.00 - $24.00 hourly, depending on experience

At Apex Mechanical, we’re looking for a Warehouse/Purchasing Assistant who wants to be a key part of our operations team. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys staying organized, working with vendors, managing inventory, and keeping things running behind the scenes.

You’ll split your time between purchasing, inventory management, warehouse operations, and supporting our field technicians. One day you might be creating purchase orders and tracking deliveries, the next you could be organizing inventory, coordinating materials for upcoming jobs, or picking up equipment from suppliers.

• Assisting with purchasing and material ordering
• Creating and tracking purchase orders
• Maintaining inventory and stock levels
• Receiving and organizing incoming shipments
• Supporting technicians with parts and materials
• Coordinating with vendors and suppliers
• Keeping the warehouse organized and running smoothly

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Experience using Excel, Google Sheets, and online ordering systems
• Great communication with a customer‑oriented mindset and excellent phone etiquette
• Reliable, punctual, and self‑motivated
• Clean driving record and insurable driving history
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in warehouse conditions

HVAC experience is not required. We’ll train the right person.

• Purchasing or procurement experience
• Inventory management experience
• Warehouse or logistics experience
• Experience with creating and managing purchase orders
