Evergreen Goodwill of Northwest Washington is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization founded in 1923 that helps people get jobs across Northwest Washington by offering high-quality free job training, education, and job placement. • Ensure donations are processed in such a way to maximize sales and minimize waste.
• Conduct quality checks on merchandise before it is placed on the sales floor.
• Ensure all donations are processed expediently from the donation door to the sales floor.
• Communicate needs with store management team to ensure production and sales goals will be met.
• Complete operational requirements by scheduling and assigning employees.
• Promote productivity by following up with employees on work results.
• Resolve workplace employee concerns by addressing issues that impact employee performance and productivity.
• Coordinate dock efforts by assigning staff within production and transportation area.
• Ensure Production Associates are stocked with supplies.
• Prepare reports by collecting, documenting and summarizing information.
• Complete projects by planning, organizing and monitoring assignments.
• Build and maintain internal and external customer satisfaction.
• Uphold safe work practices in support of a safety culture through awareness and observation; assist in safety training of employees; report any potential hazards or accidents.
• Consistently and safely execute duties associated with forklift operation when certified to Evergreen Goodwill standards.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with Goodwill’s policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning and directing work; monitoring performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; and addressing complaints and resolving problems. Partner with People Relations as needed and appropriate.

• High school graduate/GED equivalency preferred.
• Minimum 1 year production or warehouse experience, working knowledge of material handling practices.
• Minimum 6 months to 1 year of supervisory experience.
• Must have familiarity with dock equipment, lifting and handling techniques.
• Must have basic math skills for reports, documentation, etc.
• Ability to work and lead in a team environment.
• Ability to carry out instructions.
• Proficient knowledge with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams).
• Ability to learn new technology and software as related to the job.

• Evergreen Goodwill Forklift certification optional, must meet eligibility requirements.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee will be required to lift and carry up to 30–40 pounds; have developed fine motor control (grasp, handle, manipulate objects with fingers; standing for long periods, frequent bending, kneeling, reaching, stooping, squatting, pushing; climbing ladders; able to travel across a variety of surfaces (stairs, ramps, uneven terrain). Able to communicate with others effectively both verbally and written, including those who have limited English skills.
