Sedron is a leading provider of circular waste management technologies for agricultural manure and municipal biosolids processing, deploying facilities across several North American regions. Since its founding in 2014, Sedron has pioneered innovative solutions, including the patented Varcor system, to transform waste into clean water, organic fertilizer, and carbon‑negative commodities. With strong engineering expertise, Sedron’s processes reduce nutrient pollution, lower operational expenses, and promote sustainability at a fraction of traditional costs.

The Project Controls Manager is responsible for the development, implementation, and oversight of project controls processes and tools for capital projects. This role ensures that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and meet quality standards. The Project Controls Manager will collaborate with project teams, stakeholders, and senior management to provide accurate forecasting and reporting of project performance.

Because we design, build, commission, and operate our technologies, we are looking for individuals who can meet the following essential functions of the position:

  • Develop and maintain project schedules using appropriate project management tools. Collaborate with project teams to define project scope, objectives, and deliverables.
  • Establish and manage project budgets, ensuring effective cost control measures are in place. Analyze project financial performance and prepare regular reports on budget status.
  • Prepare and maintain accurate forecasts of project costs, timelines, and resource needs. Use historical data and trends to inform future project planning and decision-making.
  • Identify potential project risks and develop mitigation strategies. Monitor risk factors throughout the project lifecycle and adjust plans accordingly.
  • Implement and manage change control processes to assess the impact of changes on project scope, schedule, and budget. Communicate changes to all stakeholders and ensure that all documentation is updated accordingly.
  • Generate regular project performance reports, including earned value analysis and key performance indicators (KPIs). Provide insights and recommendations based on project data analysis to enhance decision‑making.
  • Lead and mentor the project controls team, fostering a collaborative and high‑performance work environment. Coordinate with cross‑functional teams to ensure alignment on project objectives.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for project controls‑related inquiries. Present project control findings and recommendations to senior management and stakeholders.
  • Continuously evaluate and improve project controls processes and tools for efficiency and effectiveness. Implement best practices in project controls across the organization.
  • Ensure smooth daily operations, prioritize tasks, and handle multiple deadlines.
  • Demonstrate cooperative behavior with colleagues and supervisors.
  • Demonstrate passion and excitement for solving difficult yet exciting tasks.
  • Arrive to work on time and maintain good attendance.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

This position has multiple levels of competency to be determined by performance, certifications, and supervisor discretion.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business Administration, or a related field. A master’s degree is a plus.
  • 8+ years of experience in project controls for capital projects, with at least 3 years in a managerial role.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP), Planning and Scheduling Professional (PSP), or equivalent certification is preferred.
