Environmental Health & Safety Manager | Sedro-Woolley, WA
OverviewEnvironmental Health & Safety (EHS) Manager to ensure compliance with health and safety laws, collaborate with Operations, HR, and project teams, and lead the Safety Team. Focus on identifying opportunities to improve conditions, implementing safety programs, and maintaining legal and occupational health and safety standards.
Duties & Responsibilities- Collaborate with leadership to establish and maintain a strong safety culture
- Apply knowledge of legal health and safety guidelines
- Produce reports and develop relevant policies
- Analyze data and perform risk assessments
- Ensure work is performed in accordance with manuals, internal policies, procedures, and contract documents
- Develop and maintain project cost/change controls and accounting records
- Identify root causes and recommend corrective actions for accidents and safety concerns
- Analyze incident reports and metrics to implement safety improvements
- Prepare spreadsheet reports, Word documents, PDFs, and manage email communication
- Perform routine safety inspections and self-audits; oversee audits for additional facilities
- Facilitate workplace health and safety meetings and inspections with local, state, and third-party agencies
- Propose and execute company-wide safety improvements and initiatives
- Identify trainings needed for Safety Team members
- Conduct team meetings to discuss safety issues, updates, and action plans
- Mentor and motivate team members to enhance performance
- Complete all necessary reporting (e.g., OSHA 300)
- Facilitate Safety Committee obligations
- Develop, implement, and maintain emergency response plans and procedures
- Other duties as assigned
- 5+ years as a safety representative in manufacturing or construction
- Experience managing a team
- Fluent with Word, Excel, and Outlook
- OSHA 30 certification or higher
- First Aid/CPR certification
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities
The physical demands are representative of those required to perform essential functions. Must be able to maneuver in a production environment, lift up to 50 pounds, and work around noise, dust, fumes, and odors. Requires regular physical activity in a production setting.
Compensation$95,000 - $120,000 annually, depending on experience and qualifications.

Onsite at Dogwood Sedro-Woolley Factory, 500 Metcalf St., Sedro-Woolley, WA 98284. Travel to Everett Factory as needed.
