Overview
Hours: Full time, 40 hour, non-exempt position
Pay range: $32 - $35/ hour DOE

- Oversee the day-to-day implementation of departmental policies, goals, objectives, and procedures
- Supervise and provide support to the Distribution Manager and the Food Procurement and Inventory Manager
- Plan, administer, and control budgets for contracted vendors, equipment, and supplies; work in conjunction with other department managers and leadership team to create annual department budget
- Prepare or direct preparation of correspondence and reports, as well as operations, maintenance, and safety manuals
- Manage the use of agency equipment, vehicles, and facilities, including establishing maintenance schedules, facilitating and creating deferred maintenance plans and capital needs assessments, and facilitating required inspections
- Participate in emergency response planning and the safety committee
- Facilitate training for staff on operations processes and procedures, safety protocols, and use of agency equipment and vehicles
- Manage the supply of large, non-food item donations, including inventory, disbursement, and disposal of items
- Provide support during food distributions as needed
- Provide excellent service to participants, donors, and community partners
- Coordinate with Solutions team to refer participants as needed
- Implement and oversee environmental management and sustainability programs such as electric/hybrid vehicle programs, waste management, and recommend other sustainability projects or programs
- Crosstrain with other managers in Operations department to ensure all facets of distribution can run effectively and efficiently when staff or volunteers are out of office
- Other duties as assigned
- Offer vision, creativity, and enthusiasm to employees and community members to generate positive thinking
- Supervise and support event and community volunteers
- Maintain meaningful involvement with board members, advocates, participants and community partners
- Collaborate with Helping Hands leadership to develop a sustainable organization
