Position Summary
To use leadership, supervisory, and administrative skills to assist the middle school principal in promoting and advancing the educational development of each student. This includes such responsibilities as leading, directing, counseling, and supervising a variety of personnel and programs; creating effective parent, teacher, student communications, supporting, encouraging, mentoring, and evaluating staff; fostering teamwork between teachers and among staff and parents; and managing budget items.

Responsibilities & Essential Functions which include but are not limited to:
Development of Educational Programming:
- Supports the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of the school's educational programs and initiatives.
- Assists in evaluating the appropriateness and effectiveness of instructional programming and monitors implementation to ensure alignment with school and district goals.
- Knowledgeable of the Section 504 process, including facilitating 504 meetings, overseeing the development and implementation of 504 Accommodation Plans, and monitoring compliance with applicable requirements.
- Participates in school-wide and district-wide committees and initiatives focused on advancing the educational program and supporting continuous school improvement.
Student Supervision:
- Leads the school's student behavior and discipline program, serving as the primary administrator for behavioral concerns and ensuring consistent implementation of school expectations and disciplinary procedures.
- Works collaboratively with students, families, teachers, and support staff to address academic, behavioral, social, and emotional needs.
- Supports teachers in implementing effective classroom management and behavior intervention strategies.
- Participates in student support and evaluation meetings, including the special education team process.
- Coordinates student activity programs, field trips, and other school events as necessary.
- Oversees and acts as the lead supervisor of after school student events.
Staff Supervision:
- Supervises, supports, coaches, and evaluates assigned staff to promote professional growth and high-quality instructional and operational practices.
- Plans, coordinates, and facilitates professional learning and staff development aligned with school and district goals.
- Collaborates with faculty and staff to identify, analyze, and resolve school-based challenges through effective problem-solving and shared decision-making.
Administration:
- Develops and coordinates schedules for ancillary and support staff to ensure effective delivery of services throughout the school.
- Prepares, maintains, and reviews reports, records, and documentation necessary for effective school administration and operations.
- Interprets, communicates, and supports the implementation of district and school policies, procedures, and administrative regulations.
- Collaborates in the development, implementation, and monitoring of the school safety plan to ensure a safe and secure learning environment.
- Assists with the coordination and administration of state and district-required assessments.
- Serves as the administrative designee and represents the Principal in their absence.
- Assumes additional reasonable responsibilities as directed by the Principal.
Work Year:
Full year.
Salary Range: $103,000-$113,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications
