Job Description:
Objective: Operates crawler or rubber-tired excavators with hydraulic attachments for tasks such as digging, loading, and placing materials.
Job Duties:
- Operate machinery by starting engines, controlling throttles, switches, levers, and pedals.
- Signal truck drivers for loading operations.
- Ensure safety by avoiding hazards and obstructions.
- Perform routine maintenance like oiling and greasing.
- Follow safety policies and report unsafe activities.
- Contribute to team efforts to meet company goals.
- Maintain professionalism and reliability.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 5 years of experience as an Excavator Operator in heavy highway and civil construction.
- High School Diploma or GED preferred.
- Proficient in English communication.
- Basic math skills related to geometry and algebra.
- Ability to navigate construction sites and lift up to 50 pounds.
- Physically capable of strenuous outdoor work in various weather conditions.
