Seguin ISD is a growing public school district located 30 minutes east of San Antonio and 50 minutes southwest of Austin in the growing community of Seguin, TX. Seguin ISD serves approximately 7,200 students across 13 campuses:
Ball Early Childhood Center; seven elementary schools (Jefferson, Koennecke, McQueeney, Patlan, Rodriguez, Vogel, and Weinert); two middle schools (Briesemeister and Barnes, 6th-8th grade);
Seguin High School;
Mercer-Blumberg Learning Center; and Seguin Alternative School.

Primary Purpose

Plan, implement, and evaluate a comprehensive program of guidance, including counseling services, to the school(s) assigned. Use a planning process to define needs and priorities of the population served. Provide a proactive, developmental guidance program for all students to facilitate personal growth and development.

Qualifications
  • Master's degree from accredited university
  • Valid certification or permit issued by Texas Education Agency
  • Strong communication, public relations, and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Knowledge of counseling procedures, student appraisal, and career development
  • Three years teaching (preferred)
Salary Range

$61,000 - $84,000, 192 Day Contract

  • 5 Local Sick Days and 5 State Leave Days (2026-27 School Year)
  • TRS Active-Care Insurance: $417 per month employer contribution
