Clinical Professor of Nursing- Seguin

Overview

TLU seeks applicants for a Clinical Professor position focused on teaching excellence, scholarship, collegiality, professional development, and advising. The role is full‑time, non‑tenure track, with a 9‑month appointment and a 12 credit load per semester, anticipated to begin in Fall 2026 at the Seguin campus.

• Provide high‑quality classroom instruction, integrating evidence‑based practice and research.
• Evaluate and coach students in the accelerated program, ensuring alignment with program outcomes.
• Act as a liaison between the nursing program and clinical site partners to secure effective student placements.
• Collaborate with adjunct clinical faculty to ensure quality learning experiences.
• Participate in the development, review, and improvement of nursing curricula, aligning with accreditation standards and institutional goals.
• Engage in ongoing professional development to stay current with nursing trends and best practices; pursue scholarly activities to advance nursing education and clinical practice.
• Contribute to shared governance of the nursing program and institution through committee work and service.

• Master's degree in nursing required;
  Doctorate in nursing or related field preferred.
• Current, unencumbered RN license in Texas or eligibility to obtain one.
• Evidence of at least two years of clinical experience within the last four years.

• Experience working with a broad range of students, including those from disadvantaged backgrounds.
• Experience in program development and evaluation, curriculum design, and teaching in an undergraduate baccalaureate nursing program.
• Successful teaching experience in various formats, including instructional technology, concept‑based curriculum, flipped classroom, interprofessional, and team teaching.
• Experience building and promoting community relationships, including developing student practicums in nursing.
• Successful implementation of evidence‑based practice or research utilization projects.
