Job Title: Lunchroom Monitor Wage/Hour Status: Non Exempt
Reports to: Campus Administrator Pay Grade: PS1
Dept/School: Elementary School Days Employed: 168 Days
Hours: Part-time (4 hours/day)
OverviewHelp make lunchtime a great experience for students! Lunchtime is an essential time to recharge and connect with friends. We are looking for a caring and dependable Lunchroom Monitor to help create a safe, positive environment where our students can refuel and get ready for a great afternoon of learning.
Primary PurposeAssist campus staff in supervision and management of students in the cafeteria. Work under supervision of the principal/assistant principal.
Qualifications Education/Certification- High School diploma or GED
- Preferred:
Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree or 48 or more college hours - Valid Texas educational aide certificate
- Acceptable background check and fingerprint results
- Meet federal Title I requirements for paraprofessionals
- Ability to work well with children
- Ability to communicate effectively
- Bilingual Spanish/English preferred
- Some experience working with children

Mental Demands / Physical Demands / Environmental FactorsMaintain emotional control under stress. Frequent walking, stooping, bending, kneeling, pushing and pulling; moderate lifting and carrying.
