• Recommend equipment improvements and/or manufacturing methods that would result in improved quality or greater efficiency.
• Coordinate all mechanical/electrical system modifications with external vendors, maintenance personnel and Facility Engineering Manager in regards to automation control.
• Organize and maintain all system documentation (mechanical/electrical prints, software documentation and backups, path problems, robot configurations and parameters and configuration parameters).
• Outline and maintain maintenance practices for automated systems and programs.
• Design and implement software, electrical and mechanical automated systems from concept to full development and production launch.
• Support and assist maintenance personnel with diagnosing software and electrical system problems.
• Support multiple PLC and electrical controlled automated systems.
• Design, implement and support all human machine interface (HMI) hardware and software for automated systems.

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering.
• Minimum 5-year experience in the practical application of engineering technologies to manufacturing processes with emphasis on automation, programming, vision systems, and control systems.
• Experience in an engineering field within a manufacturing environment.
• Competence with PLCs, including programming.
• Competence in personal computer Windows applications including Microsoft Project, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel and AutoCAD.
• Working knowledge and experience in the development and implementation of control systems, PLC programming and systems integration.
• Technical leadership and long‑term technical planning as applied to manufacturing processes.
