Mechanical Engineer

Description

A manufacturing division of our client is seeking experienced CAD professionals to support a high-volume SKU redesign and facility transition project. This role will focus on updating and modifying CAD models and drawings to align with a new manufacturing process and prepare products for validation at a new facility. This is a fast-paced, project-based role requiring strong Solid Works expertise, particularly in routing and sheet metal design.

Key Responsibilities:

-Update and modify existing CAD models and engineering drawings across a large number of SKUs
-Incorporate design changes required for a new manufacturing (e-coating) process, including:
Weep holes, Gas holes, Mounting holes
-Ensure design intent is clearly communicated through CAD models and drawings
-Support validation and testing efforts for new SKUs in a new production facility
-Create and update:
Assemblies and component-level models, Drawings and documentation, Bills of Materials (BOMs)
-Implement design changes based on validation feedback during production ramp-up
-Release components and documentation through PLM/PDM systems (e.g., Innovia, vault)

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $55.00 - $65.00/hr.
