Traveling Quality Inspector

Overview

Trigo is seeking a full‑time Traveling Quality Technician in Seguin, Texas. Pay is $17–18 per hour and the role is 1st shift.

The Traveling Quality Inspector is a vital part of the first line of defense to keep the assembly process running smoothly. The candidate must be able to travel on a flexible schedule as needed with variable lengths of time and distances.

Site Manager

• Act as an impartial third party between the production source and the customer facility to ensure the product meets set criteria.
• Perform audits on incoming material using hand gaging and visual techniques to determine conformance to specifications and fitness for use.
• Contain non‑conforming parts and/or sub‑assemblies.
• Rectify non‑conforming material by rework, sorting and/or scrapping as directed by Team Leader.
• Use methods such as de‑rusting, grinding, drilling, tapping, assembly and/or disassembly to rectify non‑conforming material.
• Determine the tools and equipment needed to do the job.
• Grind, sand, clean and oil parts and/or sub‑assemblies by using hand tools or equipment.
• Other duties as assigned.

• Basic hand tools such as gaging, drills, taps, grinders and/or sanders to repair and/or clean parts and/or sub‑assemblies.
• Read basic blueprints to determine tolerance of parts and/or sub‑assemblies.
• Work in proximity to moving, mechanical parts and machinery.

• Knowledge of tools, practices, and industry quality standards.
• Expert level proficiency in Microsoft Excel and working knowledge of MS Word and MS PowerPoint.
• Understanding of database principles and knowledge of MS Access.

Basic knowledge of materials and production processes. Basic knowledge of quality control methods.

High School Diploma required.
