POSITION OBJECTIVE: Manage and provide leadership in day-to-day and long term aspects of personnel, raw materials, equipment, methods, processes, and costs - to successfully meet or exceed established standards for safety, quality, and productivity consistent with plant direction. Ensure the manufacture of products that meet or exceed customer expectations by working closely with plant manager, team leaders and operators.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent required, Engineering preferred
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in manufacturing leadership capacity
  • Experience managing a shift environment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel)
  • Technical skills required
  • Experience in Quality Management Systems
  • Strong organizational skills, able to handle multiple tasks
  • Strong mechanical aptitude
  • Must possess effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Ensure consistent, dependable attendance and demonstrate a willingness to accommodate non-standard work hours as necessary.
  • Capable of effectively managing job-related stress and fostering productive workplace interactions.
Responsibilities
  • Responsible for supervision and assistance to team leads, assistant team leads
  • Enforce all SOC’s
  • Assist in staffing and all other functions relating to production operators
  • Meet or exceed production objectives and align staff and teams with objectives.
  • Oversee execution of all production functions as related to safety, production, maintenance, quality assurance, and scheduling.
  • Monitor, report, and initiate action on results of efficiencies, quality, and costs. Prepare reports as needed.
  • Determine and ensure appropriate staffing, capacity, and raw materials to meet current and forecasted production requirements.
  • Oversee fair and consistent administration of all Inteplast/Minigrip policies, work rules, disciplinary actions, performance reviews and skill development.
  • Ensure that the workplace is safe, professional, clean, and conforms to good manufacturing practices and “5s” housekeeping.
  • Identify and implement cost savings initiatives as they pertain to production.

    Participate and promote the Inteplast improvement program.
  • Generate ideas and initiate actions with regard to equipment, training, staffing, raw materials, systems, and general operations improvements.
  • Work closely with maintenance, sales, production, and suppliers to ensure highest quality products.
  • Create strong relationships and work closely with all Inteplast operations in sharing knowledge, resources, technology, cost savings ideas, and product / process improvements.
  • Trouble shooting lines
  • Recommend new capital to improve the process. Participate in the installation of new equipment and capital.
  • Perform other duties as requested by management
