Equipment Maintenance Technician – Seguin, TX, USA

• Complete status check at the beginning of shift, including discussion with Loom Technician on duty, inspecting cloth, and checking flag sheets for mechanical repairs that need to be completed on the looms.
• Analyze and repair mechanical problems with looms.
• Perform daily preventative maintenance on looms to help ensure that production, quality and safety standards are met.
• Document work done on machines.
• Complete regular inspections on tools and production machinery to ensure that all necessary equipment is in proper working order.
• Assist in training new loom technicians as necessary.
• Overhaul and repair spare filling feeders.
• Replace and repair spare rapier profiles.
• Perform air flow checks to air jet reeds and buff as needed to adjust air flow tolerances.
• Carry out TPM and 5S activities, including cleaning and oiling machines & equipment.

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Demonstration of strong mechanical aptitude.
• Must pass a mechanical aptitude assessment via minimizer test – first three attempts at a minimum interval of six months, then one attempt every twelve months thereafter.
• Required to regularly see, stand, and walk; frequently required to hear, push, pull, grasp, and finger; occasionally required to balance, stoop, crouch, kneel, reach, crawl, lift, write, speak, talk, and feel.
• Regularly move objects up to 20 pounds; frequently move objects up to 50 pounds; occasionally move objects up to 100 pounds.
• Eligible candidates must be a U.S. citizen, U.S. national, person lawfully admitted for permanent residence, temporary resident under sections 210(a) or 245(A) of the Immigration and Nationality Act, person admitted in refugee status, or person granted asylum.
