Injection Operator – Responsibilities
  • Prepare, set‑up, start, and run injection equipment.
  • Perform minor adjustments to the equipment as directed; no mechanical work without prior approval.
  • Accurately complete and update information forms and logs (Injection preform/cap daily log, destruction logs, quality forms).
  • Recognize unsafe conditions, follow plant safety rules, and use personal protective equipment where required.
  • Perform visual and mechanical quality checks to ensure production meets quality standards.
  • Maintain general housekeeping in all areas of production, including break rooms and rest rooms.
  • Define the difference between VPET, RPET & HDPE resins; identify parts safe for grinding and reintroduction into the resin system.
  • Maintain quality requirements; accurately fill out inspection sheets based on overall production quality.
  • Recognize and report all quality defects immediately.
  • Work in multiple areas of production with minimal supervision; perform relief duties when required.
  • Troubleshoot minor production equipment issues and collaborate with the maintenance team.
  • Understand computer systems such as Shotscope, Electirc
    80, Ignition, and others; comprehend line flow and manufacturing process to maximize throughput.
  • Communicate issues clearly and concisely.
  • Maintain regular and predictable attendance; work 12‑hour shifts, day or night, on a rotating 2‑2‑3 schedule.
Qualifications
  • Minimum: 2 years experience in a field or similar manufacturing environment, 2 years experience in a similar position, operating multiple manufacturing machines.
  • Preferred: 4 years experience in a field or similar manufacturing environment, 4 years experience working in a similar position, 2 years experience managing people or projects.
