** Job Summary*
* Caterpillar IPSD has an exciting opportunity for a  
** Logistics Specialist** ! The Logistics Specialist ensures the efficient movement of materials and products throughout the manufacturing process. This role involves coordinating shipments, managing inventory levels, and optimizing supply chain operations to meet production deadlines. You will work closely with suppliers, production teams, and transportation providers to ensure timely deliveries, cost-effective logistics solutions, and adherence to safety and quality standards.

What you will do:

+ Coordinate inbound and outbound shipments, ensuring on-time delivery of raw materials and finished goods

+ Manage inventory levels to support production schedules while minimizing excess stock

+ Collaborate with suppliers and transportation providers to resolve any delays or issues in the supply chain

+ Optimize warehouse operations, including storage, organization, and material flow

+ Maintain accurate records of shipments, inventory, and logistics activities

+ Analyze logistics data to identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements

+ Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards related to the handling and transportation of materials

+ Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance supply chain efficiency and reduce costs

+ Provide information to supervisors and managers regarding processes in the assigned area

+ Occasionally participate in training and development

+ Perform any other assigned duties

What you will have:

+ Minimum of 6 months of experience in supply chain or inventory management

+ Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and Outlook

+ Strong verbal and written communication skills

+ Familiarity with inventory management systems and processes

+ Solid understanding of inventory control and accuracy practices

+ Experience in conducting precise and accurate inventory counts

+ Skilled in operating material handling equipment like a Fork Truck

+ Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks simultaneously

What would make you a top candidate:

+ Intermediate proficiency in Excel, including the use of formulas and data analysis tools.

+ Experience working with ERP systems such as PLEX or EOMP.

+

Experience with continuous improvement or lean manufacturing processes.

+ Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot inventory discrepancies.

+ Knowledge of industry safety regulations and best practices for warehouse operations.

Physical Requirements:

+ Ability to sit or stand for prolonged periods of time

+ Ability to perform repetitive operations

+ Ability to lift up to 35 lbs.

Additional Information:

+ 2nd

Shift: Monday - Friday, 12:00pm-8:30pm. Overtime as required.

+ 2nd Shift will receive a Shift Premium of 7%

+ Relocation assistance is NOT available for this position.
