CNC Grinder – Precision Manufacturing

Are you an experienced CNC Grinder who takes pride in producing high-quality precision components?
We're recruiting on behalf of a well-established precision manufacturer that continues to invest in its people, equipment and technology. Due to ongoing growth, they're looking to add a skilled CNC Grinder to their machining team.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a stable business where you'll work on complex, close-tolerance components using advanced grinding equipment in a clean, modern manufacturing environment.
What You'll Be Doing- Setting up and operating CNC OD grinding machines
- Producing precision components to demanding quality and tolerance standards
- Selecting the correct grinding wheels, tooling and machine parameters
- Performing machine setup, part changeovers and program adjustments
- Establishing and adjusting work offsets using manual methods and probing technology
- Reading and interpreting engineering drawings, GD&T and inspection reports
- Troubleshooting machining issues to maintain quality and production efficiency
- Using precision measuring equipment to verify component accuracy
- Supporting continuous improvement initiatives and maintaining high housekeeping standards
- Assisting with training and knowledge sharing across the machining team
We're interested in hearing from experienced CNC Grinders, Precision Machinists or Grinding Specialists who enjoy working in a high-quality manufacturing environment.
You'll ideally have experience with:
- CNC OD grinding
- Machine setup and process optimisation
- Reading engineering drawings and applying GD&T
- Precision inspection using micrometers, bore gauges, calipers and other measuring equipment
- Understanding speeds, feeds and metal cutting characteristics
- Editing CNC programs and making machine offsets
- Working to tight tolerances within a precision manufacturing environment
- Troubleshooting machining and process issues
Experience with in aerospace, defence, medical devices, automotive or other precision engineering sectors would be advantageous, but candidates from any high-specification manufacturing background are encouraged to apply.
