Essential Job Functions
Assist Maintenance Technicians with installation, maintenance and repair of hydraulic and mechanical systems including large molding presses, robots, assembly fixtures, drill fixtures, paint/finish equipment, and conveyors. Assist with general plant equipment, perform mold changes, conduct PM activities for the facility and production equipment, carry out general plant 5S, cleaning and painting tasks, and perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
- Ability to write simple correspondence and effectively present information to customers, clients, and other employees.
- Mathematical skills: addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, rate, ratio, percent, bar graph interpretation.
- Reasoning ability: apply common-sense understanding to carry out written, oral, or diagrammatic instructions and solve standardized problems involving multiple concrete variables.
- Computer skills: proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, e‑mail) and familiarity with database–related software.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Stand, walk, talk or hear regularly; use hands to finger, handle, and feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
- Frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, occasionally up to 100 pounds with assistance.
- Use hand‑held tools/machinery/instruments, both manual and powered, for precision and non‑precision tasks.
- Perform basic maintenance tasks such as plumbing, painting, greasing, oiling, grinding, drilling, and disassembling/reassembling simple machine parts.
- Required visual acuity: close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
- Exposure to chemicals, fumes, high‑temperature molds and materials (290°F/450°F). Must adhere to PPE requirements.
Work within the plant – factory environment with exposure to noise, dust, fiberglass, and heat. Must follow PPE guidelines as defined in the safety manual when in the manufacturing area.
