Material Handler
The Material Handler performs kitting, picking, and packing duties while safely operating a sit-down forklift to move and manage raw materials and finished goods within the facility. This role focuses on accurate material handling, inventory support, and teamwork to keep production and shipping activities running smoothly.
Responsibilities
- Operate a sit-down forklift safely and efficiently to move materials to and from production and shipping areas.
- Pull stored materials and customer orders and deliver them to the appropriate production or shipping locations.
- Accurately count raw materials and verify quantities against documentation and inventory records.
- Perform kitting responsibilities, including assembling and organizing components according to work orders.
- Carry out picking and packing tasks to prepare materials and products for production or shipment.
- Document information related to the handling, movement, and status of materials and goods.
- Count and tag materials prior to handling to ensure proper identification and tracking.
- Lift and move materials weighing up to 50 pounds as part of daily material handling activities.
- Maintain good attendance and a strong work ethic to support consistent production and shipping operations.
- Collaborate with team members and assist other departments when workload is light in your primary area.
- Stay busy and proactively offer help to ensure overall workflow efficiency across the facility.
Essential Skills
- Experience operating a sit-down forklift in a warehouse or production environment.
- Proven material handling experience, including moving, staging, and organizing materials.
- Ability to perform accurate inventory-related tasks such as counting and tagging materials.
- Experience with picking and packing processes in a warehouse or distribution setting.
- Capability to lift and handle items up to 50 pounds safely and repeatedly.
- Strong attendance record and reliable work habits.
- Demonstrated team-oriented mindset and willingness to assist other departments.
- Ability to stay engaged and productive, even when primary department workload is low.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience in inventory support or warehouse operations.
- Comfort working with documentation related to material handling and inventory.
- Positive attitude and strong work ethic focused on teamwork and continuous support for colleagues.

Work Environment
This role is on third shift, working Sunday through Thursday from 10:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. The environment is a production and warehouse setting where materials are moved between storage, production, and shipping areas using sit-down forklifts and manual handling. The shift structure supports consistent overnight operations, and some overtime may be available depending on workload.

This is a Contract position based out of Seguin, TX.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $22.00/hr individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
