Laser Operator
As a Laser Operator, you will be an integral part of the Form Operator team, providing additional support to set up and run heavy machinery used for bending, shaping, and cutting sheet metal. You will work alongside experienced team members to assist with daily production tasks, support material handling at the press brake, and perform team lifts. Additionally, you will measure parts and verify angles to ensure they meet specifications, while assisting with general shop operations and production support.
Responsibilities
- Provide support to the Form Operator team in setting up and running heavy machinery.
- Assist with daily production tasks and material handling at the press brake.
- Perform team lifts and lift assists, lifting up to 50lbs independently and 100lbs with assistance.
- Measure parts and verify angles to meet specifications.
- Assist with general shop operations and production support.
Essential Skills
- Experience with shear and press brake operations.
- 1+ year of experience with tape measure and caliper.
- 1+ year of machine operating experience.
- Proficiency in using micrometers and calipers.
- Ability to perform quality inspections and blueprint reading.
- Knowledge of sheet metal, brake, punch press, and CNC press brake operations.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Exposure to manufacturing, ideally in metal.
- Press brake experience is preferred but not required.
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs.

Work Environment
This position operates on the 3rd shift, from 10PM to 6AM, Sunday through Thursday.

This is a Contract position based out of Seguin, TX.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $22.00/hr individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
