• Setting: Intensive Care Unit (ICU) — 9 beds (avg. daily census

• Employment Type: Travel Nurse / Travel RN (Contract)
• Contract Duration: 8 weeks (02/28/2026 – 04/25/2026)
• Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
• Shift: 12-hour day shifts (06:45–19:15), 3 shifts/week; every other weekend & holidays required
• Charting System: Medi Tech Expanse; medication management via Pyxis
• Estimated Weekly Salary: $1,680 - $1,770 per week

• Minimum 2 years of recent ICU experience (Critical Care Nurse experience preferred)
• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Texas
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification
• NIHSS certification
• PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) certification negotiable; may be obtained onsite if available during contract
• Ability and willingness to float to Medical, Surgical, IPRU, or ER units as needed
• Strong independence, clinical judgment, and critical care skills (ventilator management, drip administration)

• Provide high-quality, evidence-based care to critically ill patients in a 9-bed ICU (Critical Care Nurse responsibilities)
• Manage patient ratios typically 1:2; may be 1:1 or 1:3 depending on acuity and census
• Care for post-cath lab, cardiac, respiratory, and medical ICU patients
• Administer vasoactive drips and manage ventilators (Avea ventilator experience helpful)
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team: hospitalists, intensivists, respiratory therapists, and ancillary staff
• Float to other units (Medical, Surgical, IPRU, ER) as required by patient needs
• Complete documentation using Medi Tech Expanse and manage medications with Pyxis
• Participate in department orientation, ongoing training, and mandated competencies
