About IPSD

Caterpillar’s Industrial Power Systems Division (IPSD) designs, tests and manufactures 0.5 to 18L engines that not only power Caterpillar machines, but also power over 5,000 other applications including Marine, Petroleum, Industrial Applications, Electric Generators, and Locomotives. Role Definition

As the Quality Manager, you will lead the execution and continuous improvement of the facility’s internal and external audit programs, ensuring full compliance with the Caterpillar Quality Management System (CQMS). In this role, you will manage a team responsible for driving audit effectiveness, closing gaps, and strengthening process discipline across the value stream. You will partner cross‑functionally to improve quality system performance and maintain audit readiness.

What You Will Do
Audit Leadership & Compliance
  • Lead execution of internal and external audit programs to ensure compliance with CQMS standards and customer expectations.
  • Manage facility audit schedules and ensure timely completion and documentation of audits.
  • Facilitate CQMS Management Reviews and drive alignment on system performance.
  • Ensure audit findings are documented, escalated, and resolved through standard processes.
Corrective Action & Continuous Improvement
  • Lead containment, root cause analysis, and corrective/preventive actions for audit findings.
  • Drive accountability for closure of non‑conformances and validate effectiveness.
  • Develop and maintain systems to track audit findings, trends, and performance metrics.
  • Coach teams on root cause problem solving and systemic improvements.
Team Leadership & Capability Development
  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of quality professionals and auditors.
  • Build capability through training, coaching, and structured development.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, safety, and continuous improvement.
Quality System Governance
  • Oversee administration and continuous improvement of the Quality Management System.
  • Drive standardization and adherence to quality processes and audit methodologies.
  • Partner with cross‑functional teams to improve process capability and compliance.
People, Safety & Engagement
  • Support Human Organizational Performance (HOP) and safety initiatives.
  • Lead continuous improvement and engagement activities within the team.

  • Accuracy and Attention to Detail:
