Position Summary
The Relief Operator is a member of the production department. The Relief Operator must possess the attribute of being a Relief Operator. The employee must be able to run all machines and be signed off on the operator checklist forms for those machines. They must possess the ability to train people, and act in an appropriate manner per the Code of Conduct of Sun Rype Policy.
Responsibilities- Be able to manually operate all equipment of the bottling production process.
- Troubleshoot machinery when necessary.
- Operate forklift.
- Give breaks and lunches to other operators.
- All other duties assigned.
Role in Food Safety: Follow plant GMPs at all times and ensure work area is secure.
Job Requirements- Accurately maintain required records to ensure compliance with Company and/or government standards.
- Work safely.
- Any other tasks required by the supervisor.
Position that backs up this role during absence: This position will be filled with any other trained operator and/or Supervisor during the absence of a relief operator.
Physical Requirements- Ability to turn head to look right/left as well as up and down.
- Ability to twist body at waist.
- Ability to bend/squat/kneel.
- Ability to reach with both arms.
- Ability to stand for 8 hours during a shift minus breaks and lunch.
- Ability to lift up to 25-50 pounds.
- Education:
- A high school diploma or GED required.
- Experience:
- Minimum one year experience in a juice processing facility preferred.
