40 per week, 8‑hour days, Monday‑Friday (8:00‑17:00) with on‑call rotation once a week
The Nurse Practitioner works as part of a multidisciplinary behavioral health team, providing integrated care in both inpatient and outpatient settings. The role involves collaborating with therapists, case managers, nurses, and other providers to develop individualized treatment plans and manage pharmacologic interventions.
Responsibilities- Complete initial evaluations and assess mental and physical health at routine appointments.
- Prescribe, monitor, and educate clients on medications, including dosage and side effects.
- Coordinate individualized treatment plans with each client.
- Educate staff, clients, and community partners about mental health needs.
- Apply trauma‑informed principles in all client interactions.
- Assess safety and risk to self or others; implement crisis intervention when indicated.
- Document and chart care in a timely, client‑centered manner.
- Participate in on‑call and rounding rotations for inpatient facilities.
- Provide telehealth treatment to other clinics as needed.
- Master’s or Doctorate in Nursing with a psychiatric‑mental health specialization.
- Registered Nurse license and Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner license in Washington.
- DEA registration (Federal).
- First Aid & CPR certification.
- Valid driver’s license and vehicle liability insurance.
- Open to new graduates or experienced Nurse Practitioners who are prescribers for the designated age group served.
The position covers three separate facilities, scheduled daily at each facility based on unit acuity. Each facility has a designated prescriber with a maximum 16‑client case load; the Nurse Practitioner acts as a float prescriber.
